Purple Rain Extras DVD

the extras on the Purple Rain DVD really make it a great package

a couple of thoughts

on the MTV premiere party...man Mark Goodman was truly AWFUL i dont ever remember him being that bad

it was funny when Mark Goodman wanted Eddie Murphy to do an impression of Prince and James Brown and Eddie was like shut the hell up lets go to a commercial!

the videos are cool..it was nice seeing Sex Shooter again

the interviews with Wendy & Lisa and Albert Magnoli are excellent especially when Magnoli started to cry talking about the scene with Prince and hjs Father..that was cool

and the way Wendy talks about Prince it shows how much love she still has for him

also i realized Wendy still has some nice tits! lol

an excellent DVD!

I thought Magnoli's crying jag was very, very, very strange. My initial reaction was "Jesus Christ, this guy is insane, or at least extremely emotionally stunted". At best this was an inappropriate reaction in the midst of what seemed to be an nondescript interview.

I'm not thrilled with the commentary track - I didn't pick up on anything terribly substantial being discussed, though I wasn't completely focused when I played it, so I may have missed something.

Well, obviously that must've been a very touching scene for him to film.

You'd weep too, so don't even try it. tease

I loved Little Richard and his bible talk, followed by Eddie Murphy making fun of him.

Never seen that stuff before, but I'm still pissed off by a few things about that DVD.

Why use the symbol glyph for the DVD menus? Wait a minute... isn't that symbol copyrighted by Prince??

How come no damn booklet or insert?

Where are those tantalizingly interesting deleted scenes? Do they still exist?

Why are there sound errors on the disc? I'll be keeping my old copy for this reason.

I'm mostly happy about the set though. Some nice interviews and stuff, and a nicely cleaned up picture. Good to see it in widescreen finally.
