I think he does it intentionally to add mystery to himself. The same thing with "If I Was Your Girlfriend". I remember when I first bought the album and read the title. I couldn't wait to get home and play the track to see if it meant what it looked like it meant.

If he is a gay, he is enjoying playing with our heads. If he is not gay, I think he is absolutely wonderful for not being insulted when people think he is gay.

When people call me gay, I say "If you are so mad at me, then why are you giving me a complement?".

I too, am confused by people who can't even entertain the idea that he might be anything other than 100% heterosexual. Some to the point of hostility if it's even suggested. He's always liked to have the audacity to flaunt his femine side,mainly to attract women I think.
He's also made it clear that he's not gay on ocassion.

When you think about it,Prince has written MANY songs where the meaning is often misinterpreted,or where the real meaning would normally apply to the opposite sex.Some examples...

"Get It Up" by The Time---usually,isn't it the girl telling the guy to "get it up"?

"Wet Dream" by Vanity 6---normally,isn't it us guys who would have a "wet dream"? LOL

"Jack U Off" by Prince---when I first heard this song,I remember thinking "Is it really possible to jack off a girl?" LOL

"Sexy MF" by Prince---most of the time,it's us guys who are usually called "motherfuckas" lol.Imagine if a female artist recorded a song (directed at us fellas) titiled "You Sexy Bitch"...lol

Asianbomb777, I don't know what your obsession with Prince being gay is, but maybe you should actually listen to the songs from which you quote lyrics. For instance Bambi, which you pull the line "it's better with a man" is actually about a man losing his female lover to another woman and him telling her it's better with a man FOR HER! BTW, I always associated women with SexyMF especially when you see the video. MF is not reserved for men as thedog pointed out....just because you have never heard/used it does not mean other people don't use it in that context ...."end of story"
