Ingrid Chavez should have, at the very least, been nominated for a Sundance Film Award for Best Actress for her performance. Does anyone agree with me?

I am not crazy. GB is a piece of art. PR was a poorly acted, weak plot of a movie, UTCM was odd and SOTT(the movie) was just a concert movie. GB showcased P's growth as a director, actor and singer. It was very unique and I guarantee it will be a cult classic 10 years from now like Rocky Horror and This is Spinal Tap; then in 20 years it will rank with the best of the best such as Godfather 1 and 2 and Gone With the Wind(which was a piece of you know what)

Maybe this is Prince??? He's the only person that could have liked this movie so much. And he made the same Wizard of Oz comment, according to the book, "Possessed."

Classic example of purple kool-aid gone awry. You really are one of those sick people that really thinks that Prince can do no wrong. The movie was HORRIBLE for MANY reasons. The biggest being the thing that endeared PR to so many people was the HUMOR. There was very little humor in GB. Prince took the amazing, funny personalities of the members of the Time and reduced them to thugs? Who on earth would believe the members of the Time as "gangstas"? Don't even get me started on the whole Aura is an angel thing, cuz i'll just lose my breakfast. The set looked ridiculous. And i'm really going to try and forget that you just tried to compare GB to the Godfather, because it'll just make me puke again. http://www.facebook.com/p...111?ref=ts

If i were Prince, would i say PR was poorly acted and UTCM was odd? I'm just a guy who loves this movie and despite what the massess say, i always will. It is pure genius. I was going thru a tough time when this movie came out and it really helped me to go on. I owe EVERTHING to GB.
I have to sign off now. I feeling a little misty-eyed.

now back to doing my usual GOTTA LUV THE ORG THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I want to start a GB fan club. Anyone interested. It would consist of meeting once every 2 weeks to watch the movie and discuss the good and the bad(as if there is anything bad to say about this piece of art). The GB treasurer will be responsible for getting any items GB related(t-shirts, music) and finding a place to meet(hotel conference room or, hopefully one day, our own building)

I have to sign off now. I feeling a little misty-eyed. I acn understand that. Sometimes people find comfort in the weirdest places. When I was depressed and off work for a while, I watched big brother 24/7 and practically lived through them. This year, now I am sane again, I couldn't bare half an hour of it. Maybe, had the circumstances been different when you watched GB for the first time, you would have realised the truth! It were proper bo I tell the!! Bo Selecta!

Thanks Swiftyweb,
It's good to know someone understands. I'm watching the movie again as I type. I LOVE the scene when Tevin Campbell sings "Round and Round" and Tony M, Kirk J and Damon are dancing behind him. Weren't they just the best dancers, drummer(Kirk) and rapper(Tony) ever? [This message was edited Fri Aug 27 9:28:49 2004 by TheDeacon]

In fact, why don't we formulate a plan to negotiate with Paisley Park to get that piece of the set of GB, I think it might actually be part of the bridge, that they have in one of the rooms there (the room with, I believe, the Hammond Organ). It's the perfect conversation piece, ya know. I am sure they would be willing to sell it, since the tour guide seemed to be embarassed to even point out that it came from the movie and its significance to Prince. Here's what you need to do, send ALL of your money to me immediately, and I will get right on top of purchasing this and all GB related materials. Right on top of it. S Filthy cute and baby U know it
