Is Purple Rain actually widescreen.... On the back cover of the poackage where it says "WIDSCREEN VERSION" it s tates that the film is presented in a "Matted" format . If "matted" means " Open Mat." THe film is not widescreen, but rather formatted to look "widescreen." | |

I think it means that it is not anamorphic. Set at the original aspect ratio and not adjustable to 16:9. But then I could be talking out of my ass  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
