i'm probably the last person on this site who has heard the cd Musicology, but i have to admit it's better than expected. After following Prince from 1999 for years, i've lost interest after Emancipation... still listened to his old cd's though. Didn't like the single Musicology much, just a normal song, but yesterday i bought the cd afterall (it's Prince you know...) and after hearing it a few times i have to admit: it's a great cd and i keep playing it now on and on... i sometimes got even ma Prince shivers back while listening to it... Maybe my wish did come truth and ma old hero is really BACK!!!!

Glad u found your way back into the fold. In all honesty however its not Prince who is back, its u. Prince simply crafted an album that he felt would be as easily digested as possible for the casual fan. Which is not to say that Musicology is not good (i think its great), but I think Prince basically "dumbed" himself down for the general audience as well as the critics. TRC and NEWS are much more demanding on the listener and actually try to extent his art by exploring landscapes not yet visited by him. Go back and give his other material a chance. U may find that there's gold yet in them there hills.
