Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic was an outtake. Not sure if the '89 version sounds diff. than the album's title track though. Isn't Mindbells a Batman outtake? I could be wrong. I usually am.

Let's wait to hear from my hero, L'ange Bleu.

yeah, the '89 version of "rave" sounds a bit different...it was a bit more spare and less produced sounding, and a bit slower.

There's only one 'true' Batman outtake, and that's "Dance With The Devil".
'Rave Unto The Joy Fantastic' was also considered for inclusion at one point,
but it was more of a leftover from other projects Prince had been working on
just prior to starting Batman than being part of the Batman project itself.

Not a Batman out-take, but it was considered for the LP - The Batman Theme, from Madhouse 24.

Sorry, I always forget which one it is - someone tell me, is it 17 or 19 (I'm thinking 19 boxed )

And if were going there, then there's also Anna Waiting, although that's not circulating.

"Dance With The Devil", "Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic", "Mindbells", "Me Touch Myself", "We Got The Power" (aka "Dance With Power") are from the same era. So they do qualify as "Batman outtakes" if you wanna see it that way. There are the unedited versions of "Electric Chair" and "Batdance" circulating.

Oh, and "The Voice Inside"... wait, I'm not sure about that one. Don't have a book close to me now. Somebody else check for this?

The 1989 version is the same as the released version only longer...
The strings in the ending were left out of the released version...

Hi,

200 Ballons (B-Side) and Rave were concidered for the film.

200 Ballons was for the Parade part and Rave for the museum scenes.

"Dance With The Devil" I think was for the film as well.

"Mindbells", and "Bliss" was done in 89 for that Japanese singer

"Me Touch Myself" might have been for a cut seen in Gerfitti Bridge.

"We Got The Power" (aka "Dance With Power") was for the Carmen Electra debut album.

There are songs that are outtakes but only Tim Burton and Prince know for sure.

These are mostly "Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic" outtakes and demo's...
There's a vid tape with early "Batman" footage with "Dance With The Devil" over it (that's where the bootlegged version comes from) that's the only outtake...

Carmen Electra wasn't even around then, these were then more probable for that Anna Fantastic album...

That makes sense, wasn't Fantasia Erotica also for Anna Fantastic?
