Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Can't choose b/w "Let's Work" and "Housequake." Special mention to "Eye Know" and "Alphabet St."

Doesn't it strike you as queer that alot of y'all picked Black Album tracks as the funkiest? hmmm

Ironic to me considering Black Album's history of being a planned then aborted album, then a popular bootleg, then released later to lukewarm reception, and the way alot of orgers don't rate it very high.

Ok. You all have me real confused now. The man has too much funk for one song so I revamp to the following top 5 in no order.

1 Le Grind (oh my goodness, that bass)
2 Erotic City
3.Controversey
4.DMSR
5 Another lover like u need....

Should be there but offically can't inclue. Love Bizarre...2funkE!

While Lady Cab Driver has been mentioned, I don't personally put that in the heavy funk category. It just rules in general.

I'll pick some conventional tunes such as D.M.S.R and Irresistable Bitch. and I'll still take the House remix of Gett Off over the album version. Let me add Girls & Boys, 2 nigs united 4 West Compton for the sake of argument.

Thank you. My kind of fan. 2 Nigs is unbelievable...the closest he got on an official release to matching the power of the live shows. And your other votes are pretty good too!

I'm with AsianConnection on this one. Let's Work and 777-9311 are his funkiest joints. The bass lines alone get your neck snappin'. Honorable mentions: Head, Controversy, and Lady Cab Driver. Why doesn't he do more bass line driven tracks. I don't wanna get into a whole that was then , this is now thing, but man, I miss that bottom in his music.

I've gotta go with AsianConnection on this one Let's Work and 777-9311 are his funkiest joints. The bass lines alone make your neck snap. I don't wanna get into the whole that was then, now he's a matured 46 year old man thing, but man, I miss the bottom in his music. Honoarable mention; Head, Controversy, and Lady Cab Driver.
