Okay, this is one of the many areas that I think sets Prince apart from all other artists who people dare to compare him to. His ballads are simply amazing, from the lyrics, which are pure poetry, to his unbelievable vocal delivery. It's too arduous a task to pick just one fav, so here are my tops:

Oh hell, all of them. The man could release a greatest hits compilation made up of nothing but ballads.

I'm gonna put the exclamation point on what a million others said before me and go with ADORE! ADORE! ADORE! Hands down it is P's best slow jam and one of my personal all time favorites. If he were to sing that to me...well, let's just say that what I'd do is waaayyy too graphic to post (hee-hee).

Just as I expected, ADORE has been listed many times and I must say, the song definitely digs deep into my heart and soul. But remember there are different types of slow songs that cannot be compared to one another. For example ADORE is a romance song. Another song which affects me just as much, "DO ME, BABY" is not. It's meant for other purposes (ya know what I'm sayin?)

I pick both for different reasons...
