I got a (video) version of "A Case Of You",supposedly recorded in 1983.
Y'all should hear this,it's genius.Very different from the version on "One Nite Alone"(probably better)
Still i wonder where this was filmed.
Does anybody know ?

Maybe from the First Avenue show? I hate that version, it sounds crazy. I really like the ONA version though - much more mature take on the song.

Yeah, the one on ONA is great too but the ending ,to me, doesn't fit the song.

Anyone like the original? It's one of Joni's best. I like it better than his...usually.

I heard Prince's first,then i got curious about the original,
I really liked it at first.
But after more than a few listenings i got annoyed by her affective high pitched voice.

The ONA version is by far my favorite.

Then Joni's, then the 1st Ave. version.

This weekend I bought k.d. lang's new cd -- Songs from the 49th Parallel. THey are all songs by Canadian songwriters. Including.... A Case of You. Good version.

I also remembered how much I like an alternate version that Joni recorded 2000ish. Haunting and beautiful. Probably my 2nd favorite after ONA.
