hmmm I don't recall Prince saying it was a worthy version.
Actually, I remember reading an interview where P went up to Ginuwine at a party and told him that he didn't appreciate it. Ginuwine said something about it being a sign of respect. P said "if ya like it, that's cool, just call a brotha and say so!"

Wasn't that funny? This was around the time Rave came out, and P was talking about how he sat at a table with Clive Davis discussing the law of compulsory license. This law allows anyone to cover another's song if they pay a fee to the publishing company. Prince was not happy about that law. lol

I've never heard any Prince influence from any of these new artists that say they were influenced by Prince except for D'Angelo and that's only because of his falsetto....I don't hear it in his music.

I hear a lot of Prince influence in Lenny Kravitz.

I didnt like Ginuwine's version. I remember buying this cd when it first came out and immediately looking at the tracklist and I thought to myself "uh oh!" I was disappointed when I heard it, and the video was just as lame! disbelief
Did you order a pizza ma'am? Prince- UTCM
