the old Prince

i've been watching some vifeo boots and all i can say is that the old Prince sure was irritating. i had the Nude Tour Spain show on and i couldn't help but cringe.

then i watched the beautiful experience and i loved the live stuff on it and some of the videos but all that bloody posturing. errrr...

That's because that's not the "old Prince". The "old Prince" is anything before "Around The World In A Day".
Andy is a four letter word.

That's sort of "middle" Prince. And I hated all that posturing crap too. He pranced around like Paul Stanley from KISS *cringe*. At least that sort of ended with the 20th century. His last couple of tours have been incredible, down to earth and LOTS of fun. clapping

Luv & Peace,

The Nude Tour WAS a rehash of old stage routines. Like, in Copenhagen alone he repeated the whole "snap your fingers, tell me what that is" routine from the Purple Rain Tour and the Electric Man stage-humping thing from the Parade Tour. It was kind of embarrassing to witness. confused

As for The Beautiful Experience, I have no idea what you're talking about. I think the videos are cool, especially the ones for Acknowledge Me, Pheromone and Race. drool

Some of my best laughs have come from watching the old Prince.

The new Prince just makes me want to roll my eyes.

I appreciate the fact that he's an awesome musician and composer, but damn--doing a tour based on the premise of "teaching" young cats a lesson? PAHLEEEZ. Some of the newer acts could teach him a thing or two as well.
