Fellow orgers, do u have this problem? Maybe its just me, but everytime i see Prince live, i'm so excited and moved that when its over or the next morning, i'm kind of sad. I don't think its an obsession thing or has anything to do with it cuz i'm not obsessed with him or have to listen to him everyday to get through my day....but i know after i saw him in D.C. exactly a week ago, when i left there, i just wanted to let the tears go. Especially since i had front row seats 2....
My mother who went with me to the concert thought it was the most hilarious thing she had ever heard of in her life. But this isn't the first time this has happened, when i saw him live for the first time at Club Black in March. When we were leaving NY, i just wanted to burst into tears. I think maybe it has to do with coming back down to reality after a natural high from seeing this amazing musician who takes your heart away when he performs. Does anyone else get this feeling after seeing him live? Or is it just me???? [This message was edited Fri Aug 20 6:23:46 2004 by missfee] I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

That sounds fairly normal to me - happens to me after any good concert, particularly when I've been looking forward to it for a while. Music is a natural high (well good music played well is anyway) so it makes sense that after being on a musical high you're going to have a comedown. Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

I know how you feel. But I try to remember just how much damn fun it was. I was at the Thursday DC concert too and I had front row right in front the stage. I shook most of the band members hands as they came by.
Now after finally seeing him live, when I listen to his music, especially stuff he performed in the concert, there is more flavor to the experience. Try listening to something he did at the concert and remember the feeling you had.

Yeah, I'm right wit' ya! It's a happy kind of sad when I see him leaving the stage, wandering when or if I'll ever get to see him again. I do that each and every time...
