ok i know its not Gone With the Wind or Citizen Kane..hell its not even Porky's BUT
it has Prince in it with some great music it has Morris and the fellas even Jesse! Ingrid Chavez is hot! i mean it has all the people that Prince fans would want..but i still i see some people saying how crappy the movie is and they are passing on the dvd while buying the other 2 dvd's..i dont know i just cant see how a Prince fan wouldnt buy it..at least buy it for the videos! hell its only like $13 at Amazon

This movie is the only one of his I don't watch when it's on. Maybe if I was drunk or something, but I can't handle it sober

Graffitti Bridge is definately in my top 5 fav albums - that's where my signature comes from.

Well I'll just be buying the other 2 on dvd as well.

I don't feel any less of a fan for knowing that Prince produces turds too.

The fact that it's Prince isn't enough to justify spending money on it.

GB is just too painful to watch and I feel no requirement to waste money on something I don't want and will never use just to have a complete collection. One format of GB is enough, actually it's one too many.

you know, I'm a pretty liberal Prince fan. I don't give him crap for being a terrible actor, and I'm much more willing to lay back and watch one of his movies or TV specials where he "acts" or "writes" a script or "directs" some weird transition stuff (like with 3 chains, beautiful experience, love4oneanother, etc.) without taking it too seriously.

I'm already a step ahead of just about everyone when I say I actually enjoy UTCM.

But Graffiti bridge is a terrible, terrible movie.

It's just so awful. It's not funny or slapsticky, like UTCM (which allows me to forgive its mistakes), it takes itself seriously and actually thinks its delivering some sort of profound message to us.

The music is mediocre for the most part, but even the good music in that movie is so poorly directed visually that I see no benefit to watching it as opposed to popping it into the CD player. Therefore the only redeeming part of the movie is useless.

The saddest thing about it all, is I'm buying the damn DVD. What the hell is wrong with me?

It's not that bad if you think of it as a long videoclip rather than as a movie

I have P rain on dvd....i am hoping to get the box set of the 3 dvds ...i saw UTCM years ago i never saw G bridge ....but cant wait to get them..but i am in Ireland so they wont b released till october

second I love the visual style of the movie- the dark lighting is unique and dark which is real atmospheric 2 me!


It really is escapism at it's best and 2 me is better then film "Purple rain" !

"Under the cherry moon" is ok but the story is so shit.....at least the romance don't get too much in the way with "Graffiti bridge"!

I love the slang too and there r many memorable, funny quotes and the clothes r so weird it's great!

This movie is one of it's kind and I love movies like this! A movie that knowone really cares about but if u discovered it on TV late at night u'd love it sort of movies!


I just really wished that we'd get the original full version on DVD as film has loads of whole sequences missing (think of the songs missing to start with as they pretty much all had scenes to acompany them).... plus the editing is pretty dodgy in places beciause of the changes Warners made!

Like the movie tagline to simularly wierd but cool film to Michael jacksons "Moonwalker", this film truly is "a Film like no other"!

Much respect to this film.....great Prince tried to give us that spiritual message too.....he tried something different there....."It's just around the corner"!

look, i love P, i really do, but i don't have to like every single thing he does.

Its a pretty bad flick, with a few good scenes in it. I'm planning on buying the DVD eventually, but I will probably just skip the "story" parts of it just to watch the musical numbers (just think of them as videos, and that makes it a little easier to take). I will probably always skip over "Round and Round". never cared for that song.

It was also the height of his inaccessibility, the closest he ever came in my book, to being just another freak like Michael. Muttering his dialogue, jogging around in heels over a set that looks a little like the Life board game...it's so atrocious. And yet not weird enough to be compelling. All it needed were some muppets. Now that would've been good.

Because it's not really a "movie;" it's more of an extended music video.
