Since Prince is hot this year, do you think he'll show up at the MTV awards on the 29th? Perform? Present? What do you think he would/should perform? He's off that night but, he is going to be in the opposite corner of the country inbetween show in Seattle. Maybe he has the night off for a reason? Opinions Please!!!!!

well i never really have much to say in opinion threads cuz i dont know enough about prince to speak...but truthfully

i dont think he'll show up - it might be a waste of time for him? he's made it clear that the music that mtv and mtv-ish channels exploit isn't...real, in the sense of having 100% musicianship..

and it's pretty obvious that he does have a point - mtv is suckin shite....


but that's my two cents, i kinda almost didnt wanna say anything cuz there are tons of ppl on the org that have such strong opinions (which are GREAT) and i dont think i could compete with them lol (plus im too lazy to type so much!)

the rumor i heard is that he's presenting the award for best hip-hop video. who knows if that's true.

i was watching MTV last night, and they announced that Musicology was nominated for an award. I would bet all my Prince albums ( and i have every album he recorded ) that he shows up.

i would say no... he's ttouring that day but

He'll show up, just because he's nominated. But he isn't going to win anything so I hope he presents an award. I'll watch, although I hate MTV with a passion. He doesn't seem to be very fond of MTV either. But he said himself, he's a walking contradiction.

If he shows up he's going to cause controversey. Last year Madge and Brit kissed, and earlier this year Justin and Janet pulled off a nipple suprise.

Now it's P's turn. It's going to be Eminem rapping and then SUPRISE- Prince will arrive and start singing with Eminem and then the music will pause and Prince will put his hand down Eminem's pants.
And then in the morning papers and on the news Prince will be everywhere and his record sales will sky rocket.
