Cool Song!

Who knows what the girl is saying backwards at about the 5:45 minute mark? I tried to flip it around but I still get overshadowing, it's hard to make out. I wonder if it isn't french. Anybody? Ferris?

I always thought of this song as a weird, pretty little bauble - surreal, silly and full of fun little textures. It's not one of my favorites, but I enjoy listening to it. The extended version of America, on the other hand, is wildly underrated. Perfect music for driving in the country on a winding road, cuz it goes on and on and on and on...

Girl is one of my favorites. It's overflowing with a sensual vibe. I love that it has the feel of a ballad, but actually has a fast tempo, very creative!

ah, "girl". what a great song. fantastic wobbly keyboards, the whole thing is very inventive and controlledly out of focus, a sweet fever dream. i really think this is one of prince's best.

Reminds me of the days when we'd go out and get 12"..sit down and play the B-side FIRST!!!

"GIRL" reminds me of a hotsummer night...candle's lit, incense burning and fabric over the lamps...(tried to be like Stevie Nicks)

I played most of my Prince music like that back in the day.
