underated prince songs

the most underated tunes in my opinion

(I know. Another list, but we do love them)

when the lights go down (we need more tunes like this)
shy (should've been a single)
slave (amazing drums)
walk don't walk (always thought this could have had a great video)
da bang (so smooth)
the sacrifice of victor (what an ending)
pheremone (cool boss drum)
i love u in me (one of the most intimate ballads he's written)

I know it's mainly 90's stuff, but that era was for the most part ignored)
Green virgin teenager, or filthy rich yuppy. Pussy cat pussy cat, where for out thou puppy

Walk don't walk? It's probably my least favorite Prince song of all time, same with Love you in Me. I do agree with you "When the lights go down". I think that Adore remains an underated song. It was never released as a single but still receives airplay on several R&B stations. If Warners/Prince had decided to release this one it could have really exploded. Nevertheless, it is still a classic for me.

Peace

I definetly agree with U on "Slave"- the drums were kickin' (no pun intended) and I really like the chorus
"Walk Don't Walk"- excellent light-hearted song with a deep meaning
"Pheremone"- just down right dirty, gritty, and sexy at the same time
"I Love U In Me"- It's amazing how a sexually explicit song can sound so heartfelt and tender

In my opinion:

"New World"- I just love the chorus, could have been a killer video
"Until U're In My Arms Again"- sweet, tender, and dear. Great as a dedication 2 a loved one that you're apart from. This song cannot be fully appreciated unless you're in love.
"Blue Light"- just listen 2 the lyrics; "oh baby, i don't wanna cross that road because i love u 2 much" Just imagine someone singing this 2 u with the lights down low
"The Arms Of Orion"- come on!!!!
"Dinner With Delores"- was a great rock song, simple yet effective.
"Comeback"- sad and completely depressing, but great.
"319"- where was the damn video????!!!!!

I don't think that Adore is underrated at all. !: it's not single material. I.E not radio friendly, doesn' tdeter from the fact that it's a great song. It's been on an infinate amount of top 10 lists. Adore is adored by fans and critics alike.

The absolute most underrated Prince JAM of all time is 'Irresistible Bitch'.

The drum break alone on this cut was no nice he did it twice, uh no . . . three times I believe. Yeah, uh . . . 'Life Can Be So Nice', 'Tambourine' and probably something else that escapes me now.

Just a drop dead gorgeous funk tune.
