Get over it and go on with my life. I live for no man or woman. Sometimes I feel as though I do live for my dog, tho. Luv & Peace, Alex Clubbin' in Mpls/A Night w. Prince

If?
There's no 'if', one day he will either retire or die, or both.

I'm sure you'd try your hand at necrophilia before croaking. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

I would read it in the paper, watch the bit on the news. Have my dinner. Go to bed. Get up in the morning and go to work. What else would we all be expected to do ? "If you really want something in this life, you have to work for it - Now quiet, they're about to announce the lottery numbers!"

I would say "awwwww....." maybe shed a tear and then go and listen to his old records. Or i would come on the org and watch everyone here freak out.

I'd sit and watch the re-hashed old albums be re-released.
Then watch them be re-re-released with bonus tracks. Then watch out for the box set releases of new material. But mostly I'd be looking forward to special editions of magazines like "Q" devoting 50 pages to Prince's "lost" 1990's output which would hail all this now dubbed "strange weird" material as absolute career highlights. I'm looking forward to reading in these articles how "Rainbow Children" is an album of misunderstood genius and how the highly experimental album "NEWS" is too deep to swim in, revealing it's beauty layer by layer after all these years still. I'd have a quiet chuckle at their "hard to find" npgmc song list describing all the songs from the club in minute detail. And last but not least, I wonder how long it will take for Sotheby's to put up a few chips of his wooden leg for auction After that, I'd kick back and watch Warners re-release the re-re-releases with new picture booklets and liner notes by Kirky J. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I think a handful on here would be so happy if he died, they can't be happy for him when he's successful so maybe this will satisy them. Harsh but fair ?.

I would have a week off work if he died. I would sit by candle light and listen to 'sometimes it snows in april' over and over again. The i'd get over it and listen to all the music that get's released by his estate.

If P died...
1) I'd listen to all the reporters completely mishandling the coverage and info about him. 2) I'd patiently wait to hear news about future releases from the vault and I'd hope he hasn't mandated that the vault be locked for 25 years after his death or something insane like that. 3) I'd feel sorry for all the future fans that will never experience a live show

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest that Prince has made arrangements so that the vault material never comes out after his death.
WB don't have it, so they are not going to be able to release or remaster anything without the ok of his state. Who will that be? If its Mani, shes a fan so we might get it. If its JW, alot of it may never see the light. Or Prince has probably arranged for it to be burned, just for fun. If he doesn't want to release it in life, he sure as hell ain't gonna let someone else benefit in death! .
