i also fell in love listening 2 this song wink

I bet this is a first on Prince.org. Who appreciates "Wedding Feast"? (I ask rhetorically)...those that do don't dedicate threads to it. biggrin

I have no beef (no pun intended) with the segue. It serves its purpose.
This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

It's not very original. A large part of it is essentially a remake of a tune from The Wizard of Oz. I still enjoy it. I like almost everything on The Rainbow Children. It sort of sounds hypocritical now that Prince is eating meat again (not counting Mayte).

I like it. It's not the most fantastic arrangement on the album but it's a nice way to make
the over all impact of the album a little more light.

In a way, "Wedding Feast" serves as a means to end the first part of the album on a light
note.

Since, after the song, the album takes on another direction. The first half is very deep and
profound and after "Wedding Feast", the mood lifts somewhat and the songs gain a bit of
a lighter tone over all.

Man, I swear to God. This was the only Prince song from his recent albums that had the potential to become a massive hit single. Just because motherfuckers would have played it just for laughs.
