So what was the Glam Slam Uylesses? I know the Glam Slam were a string of night clubs Prince owned, and I know about the 7 June 1994 Simulcast Party thing, but what was the Glam Slam Uylesses? Is it a live show? An unreleased album? A Paisley Park event? OR WHAT??? Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com

I only know because of The Vault, but it was an 'interactive musical theatrical production' inspired by Homer's classic Odyssey, combining dance performances with videos, conceived by Prince and Kenneth Robbins. Carmen Electra played the lead role. They premiered it at the Glam Slam club in Los Angeles, and the idea was to tour nightclubs with it, but it was so bad it didn't last long, apparently even Prince wasn't happy with the final result. I think elements of it can be seen in the Beautiful Experience video.
They show had 13 scenes with accompanying song: Strays of the World/Dolphin/Interactive/Pheromone/Dark/Loose/Space/What'sMyName/Endorphinmachine/Race/Come/Strays of the World/Pope.

There's video of it floating around, I remember getting it in reasonable quality back in the mid-90s.
Basically it was based loosely around Homer's Odyssey, and had dancers interacting with big video screens to tell the story. Like metalorange says you can see some of this in the B.E. TV movie, Interactive for example, where the dancers fight a giant cyclops on the video screen. Pretty neat IMO
