In my opinion Shoo bed ooh is one of Princes best jams! the only other track I love more is Elephant & flowers,I jus dont get it,why so many dislike the song,its my fav on newpowersoul.The lyrics are so deep & the sweeping synths are mesmerizing! I remember when i first heard it.I was hooked,I played at least 2hrs str8t! next 2 shy & dolpin I think the 3 songs is princes best in the 90s .....Check some of the lyrics, ...The money that u make aint payin the rent,so u sleep in cars,This car u drive with out no gas wont yake u very far,u look up in the sky and u wish upon a star! Suckin on the ebony dancer between these dirty sheets!Spitin out the after taste! HOW COULD U NOT LIKE IT!

I {heart} this song! I think shoo-bed-ohh is one of most shining moments on New Power Soul. The whole NPS album is so raw to me. It has a spooky feeling to it. Even I LIKE FUNKY MUSIC eventually grew on me....I'm typically not too wild about samples, especially that almost indistinguishable crowd.

Great track. I love NPS! The beat kicks (if I remember, none of the bass drum ever falls on beat one which is pretty incredible though I might be thinking of another song...). I also love the extra harmony added on the last chorus of "shoo-bed-ooh's". Great lyrics: "you wonder aloud if you're happy, you say 'yeah' as if you really are. This car you drive with no gas won't take you very far, you look up to the sky and wish upon a star". Man, the more I listen to this album the more I love it!

I am sensing some heavy irony here.

Shoo-Bed-Ooh is adequate.

The album overall though, is great.
