what is your opinion about this album?.....i happen 2 think its amazing how young he was when he did this album.....unbeleivable talent!.....i luv the whole album...my fav cut is "Just as long as were 2gether",but the acoustic songs are breathtaking!....what do ya'll think?

Man, this album is better than most people think . . . As a matter of fact, "If Was The Man in Ur Life" and "Reflection" has the same kind of vibe (to these ears anyway), which is why I dig those tracks so much.

Great album all things considered. It shows that he was diverse from the beginning. A couple of the tracks have a definite "disco" feel, but some of Stevie Wonder's tracks from this time period do as well.

I kinda like the fact that "Crazy You" is so short. It leaves you wanting more. Hit the repeat button on that one.
I've always liked "My Love Is Forever", especially the doo-do-do-do-doos in the beginning. It's cool to go back and listen to these tunes.

I hardly play it, but after reading this thread I thought I'd put it on.

THere aint a song on there I don't like, bar maybe that cheesy intro. But even that is cute. Play In Love and you find yourself singing it all eve.

Great album.

"Soft & Wet" is one of my all time favorite Prince songs.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned my other favorite song on there - "So Blue". I would've loved to hear him do that song in his acoustic set.

He basically stated his guitar dominance for the next 25 years + with this one.

My favorite song on the For you album is Soft and Wet!!-....well I've never heard the whole album, I actually heard that song from The Hits 1 album -abouta year ago

I luuuurve For You, it's really become on of my top 5's over the past few years, Baby, So Blue & My Love Is Forever I would say are my favourites, especially Baby.
