Guitar solos in concert!!! I was listening to a live version of Rave Into The Joy Fantastic and the solo is just slammin. It just overtakes the groove and the jam itself is about 12 min. long. To me it's right up there with some of his hot guitar solos in concert!!! Would like to hear anyone's reply on their favorite guitar solos Prince has played in concert! | |

I think Prince sumtimes gets carried away with some guitar solos on stage.....in studio he dont do it enough.....but on stage he sumtimes over-does it.
Purple Rain on the Prince and The Revolution Live video is a perfect example..... take care of that ass y'all | |

If you have never heard the guitar solo he plays in "Just My Imagination" you are missing out. I think that it was played at an aftershow and not during a concert, but regardless, I consider it the best guitar solo that I have ever heard period. I have always thought that Prince was one the best guitarists around, but Just My Imagination takes it to a level that is not comprehendable. Please, go find this song and listen. | |

I also like the solo from the first ahdio (the Days of Wild Jam). It starts really repetitive, but at around 2.30 min into the songs he let's loose!
And I love the distortion sound on it, so raw and wild! | |
