It seems ironic that in his music Prince sounds very sensitive,shy, wants to be loved, cries when his heart is broken... you know very sentimental kind of guy when it seems in reality he is controlling, a little cold hearted, unapologetic, and sometimes a bit of a prick

So, is he putting on an act to attract the females... or is he more comfortable showing his vunerable side in his music and puts on the public persona as a way of protecting himself.

I know, I am starting to analyze too much. I am today. I should be studying, first day of class today.

Charlie Chaplin was the EXACT SAME WAY. Maybe being a living oxymoron (loud and egostical and insecure and sensitive) is part of what makes these 2 artists so great. They get to live out what they want to be, and how they oftentimes feel, as performers, and stay succesful by being cold and calculating. I dunno, I'm just sorta typing down random thoughts as they come to me.

Clubbin' in Mpls/A Night w. Prince

I think Prince would be quite upset if he heard people saying such HARSH things about him. His Recent concerts have been spectacular. It's unfortunate that he had the negative reaction with the Chicago aftershow. He wants to have the shows and all but he is Worn Out and Pushing it. He hasn't cancelled any shows. He's shown up to clubs and even if it hasn't been for long well at least for me it has been exciting...I Can Never say such Harsh things about Prince. He's a Performer and My Favorite and Of Course I have a Mad Crush but I do Understand his Boundries. Just I wish I Could Change his mind...

I am talking about taking that kid's camera in the airport, suing the fansite, dogging out the women he was involved with, firing members of the various bands for screwing up the first time. That is not the image you would get of him by listening to his songs... he always sound sensitive, crying or wanting to cry... just very tender and sweet... but in reality... he is all about business, can get the job done (warner brothers contract) etc.
Not saying that there is anything wrong with either personality... just wondering which one is more accurate. I have to say I feel like he is acting when I hear some of these tender songs.
