Emancipation (PA or not?) Hi, I have a Emancipation (25 bucks at a store, thought it was a steal when i got it). It had the explicit, Parental Advisory sticker on it, but some parts of the cd are bleeped out with that reverse rewinde noise. Is my version the edited one? How can you tell?
On the side it says 7243 8 55063 21, E2-55063, if that helps. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm contemplating whether I should buy a (or many) PA or edited version of Emancipation at overstock.com for 4 bucks or not.

Well I have the regular version with all the curse words on it.
There is no bleeping or backmasking on it anywhere so I guess the version you bought as an "explicit" version is really by some mistake the edited "clean" version already. Although, I wonder why they made one. After albums like 1999 or Dirty Mind and Purple Rain, "Emancipation" seems like the album you could spin "on a sunday morning [] for your mother". and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

This is exactly the reason I'd be frightened if His Royal Righteousness re-released his old albums as remastered versions. There's always the threat of censoring. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.
