There have been documentary series spanning the history of blues etc. that have had both Robert Johnson and Prince in them, I'm sure Prince has watched these.

Yes, and I'm very excited about that smile I loooove that movie, and Robert Johnson, in my opinion, the greatest guitarist to ever live.

In a issue of Tv guide 1990 reports that Prince will play Roberth Jhonson in hes next movie, this article was in part of the CineMaxRock series where they play a "Prince festival" movies back to back in one day, with a 10 minutes documentary.

It was about Batman time he was rumoured to be doing the Robert Johnson thing - I remember it vividly, bought an RJ cd - blew me away then and still does...

A sleeper of a movie. Peeps probably don't check it out 'cause Ralphy Machio is in it, but it's a very cheap thrill for this blues freak. Entertaining as hell. Vai is so evil...

in 1989/90 when Prince dropped Stephen Fargnoli as his manager he teamed up with Albert Magnoli the director of Purple Rain. Magnoli became Prince's manager for about 6 months or so during which time they announced they were forming a Paisley Park Film Division. Theyu announced four films as being in development including Graffiti Bridge and The Robert Johnson Story.

Apparently Prince fell out with Magnoli over the direction the script was taking for Graffiti Bridge and they went their separate ways.

Now Magnoli was a "real" film director so I wonder how much better his idea for GB was?
'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.
