What's the saddest, most unnecessary, ridiculous thing in your Prince collection?

The things you can't believe you own -- something unnecessary and fammish, like Hits 1 and 2 seperately even though you already own The Hits/The B-Sides, or the cassingle of Betcha By Golly Wow.

All that I can think of now is that I have Diamonds & Pearls on cassette, even though I have the CD.

I used to have this obsession with getting albums of my favorite artists in every format possible. So at one point I had a LOT of copies of a few of his albums. With Around The World In A Day alone I had it on LP, cassette, and CD (both the jewel box version and the cardboard sleeve version) doh!

I'm way too po' to do that now a days lol

I have a shoulder pad from Prince's shirt!

During "Head/Electric Man" on the Parade "Hit n Run" tour, he would strip his shirt off and throw it in the crowd. I was in the third row and being over 6 foot, grabbed it easy.

I hadn't realised how obsessed and sad some fans can be, and as I pulled the shirt out of the air, I was set up by a dozen crazed lunatics pulling at the shirt.

By the time I came up for air, all I had left was the shoulder pad!

I just can't bring myself to throwing it away!

This is nothing. I actually have a piece of paper that Terence Trent D'Arby stepped on and left a dirty shoe print on.

Not even Prince. See? That's ridiculous.

Ouch! Got to admit i laughed out loud at that one.
I only just recent downloaded it, and have only played it a couple of times. But while i can't admit at all to being in love with it as a whole (the slow deep voice shit bugs me like hell, and some of it at this stage just seems like complete crap!), i'm gonna let it sit awhile like a fine wine, and visit it again now and then in the future to see how it sits: I'm not quite ready to pass a total judgement just yet.

The main reason for this is that upon first hearing it, i fucking TOTALLY fell in love with that whole Digital Garden segue (this 'track' messes with my mind in so much that it has that whole 'parade' underdone/wasted potential feel about it, it surges into some other crap WAY too soon). This is where i miss the whole '80's 12" extended version shit: I could fully dig an extended 20 minute fleshed out version of Digital Garden - that percussion and vocals is just totally beautiful and mesmerizing for a good minute or so...

I have, somewhere in my house, a small mirror that has a black ink print of 1999-era Prince on it. It is quite possibly the fruitiest thing a man can own.
