where do you see prince in ten years I could say for selfish reason I want him to contiune to tour and perform but that's not likely to happen. I just want him to be happy and maybe have some little princes or princess running around, the man has given us 25 plus yrs of outstanding music and one of the best concert/tours this year. but if he do decide to contuine I don't see him doing anything on this scale again, lets face it the man is 46 yrs old and he's pacing himself now (still better than 90% of the crap thats out there.) so the question is: where do you see our boy in ten yrs.

i could see him working on some project here in the T-dot helping kids get more into the musical aspect of the business...
i know he has paisley park in mpls (dont kno much about it) but he did express how much he does love it here i think it would be amazing and a boost to the city if he did open up an institution to help kids musically..i know we have many , like the royal conservatory of music and loads others, but im pretty sure he would have a different way of having kids learn to play an instrument - he would prolly go about the history and make sure that the students have a more creative approach to learning and such.... or maybe this is just a dream of mine...cuz if this should happen i would so move an hour away to toronto to go to this school! hehehe

I'd need a Crystal Ball to know that. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I think P will still tour bcuz he stays in great shape. Look at George Clinton or the Rolling Stone's all of whom at the age of 46 could'nt hold a candle 2 P as far as looks or energy is concerned when it comes 2 concert performance. I see P doin some very mellow Jazz type sets as well as some acoustic performances 2 change up the flow. And he will continue puttin out a new CD every year retail wise or NPGMC wise. It will only get better![This message was edited Wed Aug 11 20:09:42 2004 by ELBOOGY] U,ME,WE!....2FUNKY!

Still rockin out on his guitar. That man loves what he does too much to stop at 56...now, if you had said in 30 years, I would have probably had a different response. SPREAD LOVE UNTIL THE SUN'S FINAL RISE--The Duality a.k.a. "WYNTER SKYE"

Heck, Bowie is 57 and other than his little heart scare this summer, he's still going strong.
Within ten years, I think Prince will have gone through an opening-up phase, at least to some extent, in which we'll see an autobiography/authorized biography/authorized documentary on the man...it'll suck and we will, as usual, strictly see exactly what he wants us to see, but I think it's the next logical gimmick for a "comeback", once this current wave of good vibes subsides. I can also see such an effort coming with the marketing of "rare" Prince music, whether it takes the form of vault stuff or out-of-print WB stuff from the '90s, which may be looked down upon now, but in another ten years might gain some cache in the critics community. A "rare look at the life of Prince" coupled with "rare music reissues/vault releases from Prince" might add up to a nice little goldmine once his legacy expands beyond the purpleheads and starts to appeal to a larger audience of dedicated music geeks in general. Just my crackpot predictions.

I think Prince is going to perform until he can't perform anymore. I think he is holding on to the songs in the vault to release after he is retired. Hey, think about it.....Prince is a smart businessman. There is no retirement plan for musicians. All the old groups now are playing at the casinos and starring in gospel stage plays to pay their bills. Prince set up his own retirement plan. He is going to go out with dignity. I think they will have to insert the high heeled boots to his feet by photoshop manipulation. Other than that, I'm pretty sure his band will still be called the New Power Generation.

I'm just imagining Prince playing at a casino in Wisconsin. "We're all members of the animal kingdom

Why dwell so much on a number. Why wouldn't Prince still be performing in 10 Years from now, lots of people do it, David bowie, Alice Cooper, Cher, Maceo Parker, etc... Age is a state of mind and 46 years old or 56 years old isn't really old.
Hopefully, in 10 Years from now, I will see Prince in an arena or concert hall performing.

I am sad 2 tell U all, but in 10 years time, Prince will be locked up for kiddly fiddling on a mass scale.

In 10 years he'll even be weirder than he is today. I mean he was freaky when he came out back 'n the day, but it's just gotten worse!!
So in ten years time, I see him living like a hermit, making his own strange incomprehensible freaky music, dressing like a freak, talking about religion and mystical powers in metaphors .. Ho! wait up! That wasn't ten years ago, that was 1998!! So in 2014, he'll be doing the same thing, and we'll still be discussing him on this forum like the geeks we are ..

Making Purple Rain 2 (pretending that GB never happened). Or Purple Rain 3 as if GB did happen. I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

I see a few things in the next decade.
I think another Revolution Album will either happen or be attempted. I think this will help with keeping the momentum going. I do see another greatest hits package coming out form him capturing music since the last one or since his name change to or his break from the Warners. The Chocolate invasion was a good idea...but financially not viable and would be financially doomed. I think Some of these internet albums are going to come out on CD. I see an accoustic album coming out I see the DVD of this tour coming out. I also think we are going to see some more of the vault opened in some way...I think the WAR will have a renaisance of some kind. Or a CB II I think he is going to have a strong decade...no anthology or anything like that. THough I think after about a decade, we'll see something. I think his concerts eventually will become accoustic affairs...though it may take a more than a decade to get to that point. I know some of these are probably pipe dreams...but are very viable. In addition to more jazz albums, he'll be celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Purple Rain by "retiring" the hits once again.

I think Prince will finally realize that he was meant to be single and married to music. I know that sounds trite, but I think it was being in that small town in Minnesota that made him who he is today. I think he'll return to small town living; I think he'll have a girlfriend who lives near by, but not too close and they'll have an understanding (as in: "leave me alone, I'm busy woman, can't you see I'm busy."-- and she won't mind leaving him be).
I think he has more than a couple of songs stored up in that little head of his somewhere just waiting to blow our minds, but I think he needs that small-town, garage-band type of living to make these songs come to life. Who knows what's in store. Hopefully, in ten years, he'll still be making music. I can't see not seeing Prince in concert again! Oy! Oh well, I guess we have to wait and see! ***** The sad and the lonely love the best "The poets are demanding their pay..."
