According to that Ebony article on Prince, he says he is planning to have interns at Paisley learning every aspect of musicianship. Since Flyte Tyme has now relocated to L.A., Paisley Park is the only recording studio in the area. Get ready all you wannabe musicians!! Prince is looking for you!!! And as for the next-in-line home-wreckin', husban'-lustin' female opportunists with the "this is my chance" attitude, please do not apply!! Seriously, sounds like he's ready to give other aspiring musicians a chance, sounds like a great opportunity!!

People who 'intern' or work at PP - in my experience - either got in there because they know somebody there who hooked them up in terms of employment, or because they got noticed for their looks and were then offered a 'job'.
