In This Bed I Scream

Like most Prince fans, I am finding myself going back and pulling out some old stuff to listen to. Is it just me, or is "In this Bed I Scream" from EMANCIPATION one of the freakin' greatest songs he's ever recorded or what? It's too bad he got out of releasing singles because it could have been one of his biggest songs.

I like this one, too. Love the music but it's the honesty in the lyrics that I like the most. He was big enough to admit he was wrong and sort of apologize. The fact that Wendy and Lisa still blew him off and didn't respond was not a good learning experience for him IMHO.

Great song. Great way to end Disk 1.
But after "Somebody's Somebody'', and some others, "White Mansion'' was the one I really wanted to hear all over the radio.

This is one of my favorite Prince songs from the 1990s. It sounds a LOT like "the Old Prince".
Andy is a four letter word.

GottaLetitgo

First someone shows appreciation of Letitgo in another thread and now someone is shining the light on this way underrated gem. For someone perceived as arrogant and aloof by many, it seems like Prince has done a lot of thinking about how he treats others and especially how he treated people as he rose to fame. Great apology song with a catchy tune and one of about ten songs that could have been a single/hit off Emanicipation had any decent promotion occured.

Oh the hits Prince could have had over the years...it makes me sad to think about it. sad
All good things they say never last...
