Ooohhh...Pink Cashmere is another one of my new favorites. I just discovered it this year. I have the Hits cd and I would always skip it. I decided to listen to it a few months ago and fell in love. I haven't heard it in a while. I think I will give it a spin. wink biggrin

One of my favorite Prince slow jams. Reminds me a little bit of the "Prince" album.

It's my absolute favorite Prince slow jam - no question. One of the few songs (by anyone) that commands my full attention when it comes on.

Oh my word! I love this song from start to finish. I love it, especially, when he says, "don't nobody realize..." I am always going back to that part cos I am in love with the way he says "realize."

And the song is put together so well and the lyrics are great; his background vocals are the best. The music at the end -- I have to turn it up loud on that part!!

O-oh, I love when he says, "Cos you _got_ to know how I feel about you baby..."

Let me go listen to that right now.

and I run to hide.

That song is one of my absolute favorites--I don't understand why it doesn't get more mention or play!

I love when he sings, "when I think about...how much I miss you..." YEAH!

There are a few other songs I love that I never hear mentioned--like "Private Joy", "Tambourine".....

Champagne

One of his most passionate songs. It would'nt surprise me if he recorded that in one sitting; there's a real intensity to the lyrics and the vocals are dynamite. Underrated gem

I will be working & this will start playing
& before I know it I'm singing along.
Thats how I know I love a song
is when I sing along without even thinking
what I'm doing or where I am.

I just had this on in the car today. I can't turn the radio up loud enough at the end. There are a lot of songs that I love, but this is one of the rare ones that gives me a big heaping feeling of happiness when it's done.

I love this song! I played it over the phone to some guy I used to date because I wanted him to like it like how I liked it. I said: LISTEN, LISTEN TO THIS PART; alas, he did not feel for it the way I did, but I didn't hold it against him-- well, yeah, I did!

But I love it because from beginning to end, it rocks! There is one part where he sings "FEEE-EEEL" in such a way! I can't get beyond it!

Thanks for the post. Let me go play it now!!! What would I do without this song!

If this song was recorded in 1988, was it ever intended for use on any particular album, and if so, are there any earlier / different versions of it? As someone mentioned before it sounds very Prince era, I think it sounds nothing like the stuff he was recording in 88/89.

I was just listening to this song today and while I think the song is completely flawless in every way, I was trying to figure out if there was one thing in particular that did it for me. His vocals - both lead and background - are KILLER! So smooth and funky; as I said earlier, he just commands your attention on this song. Even though it's a slower tempo, it totally gets me moving every time I hear it. I just can't sit still. It's one of my favorite vocal arrangements ever. One of his best creations.

And it always cracks me up when he sings "come on back 2 ur little man"....cuz he really is little! lol

Defiantly one of my favorites. Wasn’t this song made for one of P’s girl friends Anna Garcia? She still has the pink cashmere coated. He has made the most beautiful songs for his women! lol……

I used to wear that song out....oh, man, now I have to go listen to it. I haven't heard it in over a year. I had to stop listening to it for a while, because the CD started skipping and the tape that I recorded it on 5 times broke. That song is soo addictive.
