Making Prince lyrics acceptable for live performance Prince has kind of "succeeded" in toning down the lyrics of songs such as 'Days of Wild' so that he can still play them live without causing offence.
Now I was just reading the "Sister" thread ealier on and I was thinking its such a shame that we will probably never be able to this song played live again due to its lyrical content. However, is there any possible way he could tone down the lyrics to this song? Anybody got any ideas for a few lyric changes so that Prince might be able to play it live again? -----------------------------------------

No. Even if he hadn't decided to discard certain songs in a live setting, I don't think he should sing this one. It's fixed in time forever, we'll always have it whenever we want to hear it anyway. And if he tries to phuck with it on potential remasters I'll kick his ass. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes. | |

Cleaning up Sister would be like editing "Lactation Nation" into "Gandhi." It ain't gonna happen. Prince can still sing the old "dirty" songs. He just needs to use his imagination.....

I was only 16 but I guess that's no excuse I like to wear my clothes lovely and….loose I forget to wear deodorant Smell nice I seriously can’t And now my sister gives me verbal abuse My sister never has a go at anyone else but me She's half the reason I sometimes smell of wee She showed me where deodorant go Press the nozzle and let it flow Hygiene is everything it's said 2 be Oh sister - don't put me on the street again Oh sister - I just wanna be your friend I was only 16 and only half a man My sister had a long-term plan She only wanted 2 turn me out She'd take perfume to 2 me until I shout Oh mothers daughter, she's a mother daughter, now I understand! | Ok now, lets all just calm down about prince changing his lyrics!!!!! I'm not sure if everyone is talking about Prince at his American gigs but I'm sure when he comes to Britain (if he does) then he won't change his lyrics. He can't change his lyrics, thats like asking George Bush to grow brain cells (IMPOSSIBLE). So lets hope he never does or has to.

Didn't he like...CLAIM 2 only have TWO explicit songs or something? Is so I wanna know what the fuck two songs he talkin' bout!
Because it seems 2 me as though every OTHER freekin' song he used 2 write was EXPLICIT. I'm sorry.
