Your Gold Experience tracklists With the talk of whether the Gold was overrated or not, and having just received "The Work" set in the mail, I decided to make my own version. But when I do these things, I end up being very excessive and have to include everything. Here's my tracklist (retitled "Interactive"), tell me yours. I apologize if there's another thread about this already, but I haven't seen one.

Spooky, I made a similar CD a couple of years ago.
Mine was a triple CD called The Dawn Here's the tracklist Disc One: 1. Welcome 2 The Dawn 2. NPG Operator 3. Come (Part I) 4. Endorphin Machine 5. Space 6. NPG Operator 7. Days Of Wild 8. Pheromone 9. NPG Operator 10. The Most Beautiful Girl In The World 11. Love Sign 12. NPG Operator 13. The Ride 14. NPG Operator 15. The Same December 16. Shhh 17. Strays Of The World Disc Two: 1. Pussy Control 2. NPG Operator 3. Peach 4. Chaos & Disorder 5. Dinner With Delores 6. NPG Operator 7. Race 8. NPG Operator 9. 18 & Over 10. Zannalee 11. NPG Operator 12. Loose 13. Papa 14. Gold This album in particular took me a long time to assemble, & includes a lot of edits, mixes & tracks segued 2gether. Each disc contains 12 actual songs & lasts exactly 60 minutes. Here's a list of the main bits... Come (Part I), Endorphin Machine & Space all segue 2gether. Come (Part I) is a hybrid of the version from The Beautiful Experience & the original unreleased version, while Come (Part II) is a slightly edited version of the released album cut. Days Of Wild is a mix of the original album version, an edit of the Crystal Ball version & the guitar solo version from the first NPG Ahdio show (and it kicks ass big time). Peach & Chaos & Disorder segue 2gether, and so do Dolphin & Come (Part II). Billy Jack Bitch & 18 & Over are the original longer versions. Somebody's Somebody is included because it was recorded at that time. Welcome 2 The Dawn wasn't, but it worked so well as an intro I couldn't resist it. WHY would you buy "The Work" CD set when all these tracks are or where available for legitimate purchase?
Maybe your $ middle finger avatar should be pointing at the bootleggers! Funny thing though, the main buyers of bootlegs seem to be people that think Prince's more recent output sucks. So tell me, does it just SOUND better when you get it illegally?  | |

ok so.....i slept on the gold experience album but recently i really got into it....and i made a track list based on what i listen to most so its a more of a comfortable track list than anything

The Gold era is my favorite, and I was glad to get the outtakes from then in great sound qaulity (as well as a shitload of others before and after). Mad, Funky Design, Days Of Wild, Empty Room, BJB (extended), Zannalee (this version)... none of them are available as legitimate releases. And I got them as CDR's, fairly cheap. What's it to you? | |
