Your Live compilation cd Here is a difficult question if not impossible because there is so much....I am trying to fit a few of my favourite live performances on an 80 minute cd....What would be your tracklist? Here is mine (not definite yet, especially on what to add from Syracuse)
1. intro (1999 revisited) 2. Controversy 3. Let's work 4. Computer Blue (The Avenue) 5. Let's go crazy (Purple Rain tour/Syracuse) 6. Anotherloverholenyohead (Parade around the world) 7. 17 Days 8. Man...tough to keep it to one cd!
For me, I'd have to add "Black Sweat" from the June Chicago show, just because that was the night he apparently debuted the song and I was lucky enough to be there. I think in general, any "live" compilation would be enhanced by at least one performance from a show you personally attended, if you're fortunate enough to get your hands on a copy of a recording of it somehow. My currently in the works live mini disc up til now contains;
A Love Bizarre from Stockholm Citylights D.M.S.R. from the Hawaii Tapes I Feel For You also from Citylights, with the All I Wanna Do part Controversy from NPGmc If I Was You Girlfriend from the new year gig (?) with this extended organ intro. People Without from Het Paard van Troje Goodmornin' 2 U, Bambi and Whole Lotta Love from Le Bataclan (cannot really seperate these) And then I got a computer and got preoccupied with other things. | |

I gotta get crackin on mine. Here's what I know I want:
Xenophobia (ONAL) Q of U & WDC (Tokyo Nude) Head & Anotherloverholeinyohead (Detroit 85) Forever In My Life (SOTT movie) Dolphin (Copenhagen) 1+1+1 is 3 (ONAL, but there's too many interruptions  )
Beautiful Strange & Calhoun Square (either Nighttown or Xeno) Q of U/Fallin'/Ain't No Sunshine (Xeno) America (?) Whole Lotta Love (either Nighttown, Bataclan, Copenhagen or Xeno) Something in the Water (Xeno or Bataclan) Osama (?, though it's kinda weird to listen to now, that beat BUMPS though) Purple House (Rave2000) Nothing Compares 2 U (ONAL or Rave2000) Instrumental Jam (Nighttown) Good Morning 2 U/Bambi (Bataclan) DOW (CB) Family Name (Bataclan or Nighttown) Empty Room (Xeno) SOTT (RRHOF Medley, I'd kill for that Vegas December 2002 show though  )

(ONAL) If I Had a Harem I Love You But I Don't Trust You Anymore (ONA Chicago) Obviously all these won't fit on one disc, but these (and a few others I can't think of right now) are on my list  I'm so glad Nero cross fades!!!  This comp is gonna be hot...

By the way would you use 'normalize' with Nero to set the volume to a value. And if so, would u use RMS (which value?) or Maximum? Thanks... | |
