Prince's backround/race What exactly is Prince's racial background? I know that he's mixed(black and white0 but what else is ti...is it like Italian or sumthin' cause that what i've heard, i just wanted to be sure.

On that Prince interview disk, the interviewer asked him this question and he said that his father was black and his mother was, to quote him, "black and Italian....or somthing like that." .....his hair makes him look kinda Italian or German tho....so sexy Prince is African-American and so are his parents. His mother has native american in her family that is all. He is not a mulatto. Most black Americans are mixed especially going back in their grandparents background, but they don't admit it.  | |

Well you are right....but I heard years ago that his mother had native american in her family, but don't remember italian mentioned. My niece's father is black and italian and her mother is black so I guess they have something in common cause she is pretty much next to his complexion, but hey aren't all black americans mixed one way or the other but it is never mentioned as it causes too much "controversy" (no pun intended!) | |

I agree that this is always a controversial subject. I have white, black, Native American, and Creole in my family history.
