All the albums, 12 Inches, and B Sides. Some of the 45s that you can actually tell are edited versions (example: Controversy). Some unreleased stuff and some bootleg stuff. Most of the protegees' albums.

I lost count - I have everthing I could find back in the day. Plus I have all the Paisley Park CD's or vinyl that Prince signed back when.

Taja Sevelle
Mazarati
Apollonia 6
The Time
Good Question
Carmen Electra
Tony LeMans
T.C. Ellis
Mavis Staples
Madhouse

Plus anyone else who was in the Prince camp. I want to be buried with all those cd's smile

Serious?

I thought it could never be too many!

I still miss alot! Esp bootleg wise. I love the bootlegs even more, now the crusade against bad music is on.

Whenever he says that in an interview, I just put on The Ryde Dyvine. And remember sumthings are better left unspoken.

Then I put on the original version to Joy In Repetition or Old Friends 4 Sale. And remember someone needs a spanking for misshandling their own legacy.

Too many to count. All the offical CDs, and then a lot of "un-official" CDs, as well as CD singles.

It's easier to say what albums I need:

* - Goldnigga
* - Come
* - Exodus
* - All NPGMC Releases
* - One Nite Alone Albums
* - Xpectation
* - All Associated Artist Releases

I have a total of 58 Albums (Boots included) altho one "album" is just called "Mixed / Live/ Extended" those are songs I've got which haven't come off boots or albums like say one song from one live performance goes there and my Megamixes go there, etc.

cry

My collection is practically bare now, because a bunch of my cds were stolen by a psychotic roommate of mine. Currently, all I have right now is:

1999
Chaos and Disorder
Diamonds and Pearls
Dirty Mind
Lovesexy
Musicology
Parade
Purple Rain
Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic
Symbol
The Hits/B Sides

I miss "The Gold Experience" and "Sign O' the Times" so much, it hurts. sad Unfortunately, wiping out my credit card debt (which I'm VERY grateful for) and losing my job quite a while ago has kept me from replacing my collection. Hopefully I'll be back on track before too much longer! neutral

Right now, I probably have less than anyone here.

I don't have all the boots. I don't think anyone can. There are simply too many.

As for official Prince and associates. Its easier to list what I'm missing.....urrrm. None. smile

When I started out I was buying everything as it was released without fail, from 1985 to about 1995. Then I got a bit broke and releases got a bit odd so I backed off until....
A) I got a reasonable job and
B) I discovered eBay

So anyhoo, I wanted to come up with a way to "define" what would be a complete Prince Collection, so, in addition to all the other stuff I had already, I decided to get hold of everything on the "official" discography on the NPG MC site as it was back in the day.

They have pulled it down now, but there is a clever site / service which archives web pages.

Here's a neat link to what I was aiming for...

http://web.archive.org/we...index.html

...remember when the site looked like that. (Better wasn't it smile )

Anyhoo (again) I achieved that goal and have everything on that list as well as a shop-load more.

In case anyone is interested, I am currently rebuilding a "tribute" to that Discography. Once it is up and on-line I will let you all know. Drop me an org-note if you give a damn and I'll add you to a list of people who I'll tell. Also, ideas will be welcome for stuff to add since that page was current.

There you go....
