THE PRINCE ROOM NOT ENTERED

There are Prince fans who say dont like the Beatles and therefore do not see and appreciate his Beatlesque moments.
and then there are those who wouldnt know funk if it hit them on the head and 2 them pretty man is a throwaway. Is this all a matter of taste or a lazy failure to absorb the musical massihas message while he be here to give it. the question then is , who here has learned to appreciate different forms of music that they otherwise would not have thanks to Prince , who dared to enter and stay in one or more of his many rooms . . . vooms

Shausler, first let me say: You crack me up, man. Your sense of humor is really refreshing. Keep on keepin' on, brother.

I totally get what you mean about different styles, influences, etc. SOTT really nailed that home for me, when I was in high school. Very few other albums or artists featured so many varieties of styles done WELL. I think the only other one that came close, for me, was George Michael's "Faith." (And, it seemed to me, even then, that he owed much of his sound to Prince.)

We live in a world that seems to take comfort in pigeonholing and labeling people. Someone who defies casual definition consistently is bound to frustrate the lazy. I think P does that.

I bought The Beatles Sgt Pepper album, and it has Prince all over it!

They def were a influence to him!

And as they say when it comed to the funk, "if u don't know, u bettah ask somebody!!!"

That's why I learned to enjoy Prince's sounds: eclectic.
We tend to limit ourselves musically.
