What was the last Prince song you heard in public? This is always a fun thread.
I heard Pop Life in the Fire and Ice restaurant in Harvard Square last night, followed a few songs later by The Jam (Graham Central Station's version of course, instead of a live version by Prince). Then I heard I Can't Make You Love Me in Dunkin' Donuts this morning, but again that was Bonnie Raitt's version, not Prince's. Pop Life was cool, though. I love how even when the noise in a restaurant is really loud and you can only really hear the beat of song, it's still exciting to recognize it as Pop Life within the first few beats.

Nothing Compares 2 U by Sinead O'Connor in Dunnes 2 days ago and last week some ex pop star sang a bit of Forever in My Life when he got booted from the weekest link. It was ex pop stars day and they all had to sing as they left. Don't know who half of them were, Belinda Carlile was the most famous.

on Juli 11th I went to the Kings of Convenience-concert at the Paradiso in Amsterdam. Those who know them, know that they are nothing like Prince. After the show we went to a bar, the Lux, a kinda hip & trendy place with cool music. Erlend Oye, from the Kings, was there as well. This guy happens to look like a total geek/nerd. At one point Prince's 'Musicology' was played and Erlend did his little nerdy dance right there in the bar.....it was so funny!

i heard "the human body" in a pub in paris (forget the name) back in late 97. i think that was the last time. before that, i heard "dinner with delores" at applebee's! it was the same week the promo cassette came out, and i thought at the time, "wow! this song is a hit!!" Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths...(Jeremiah 6:16) www.ancientfaithradio.com
