I've heard lots of things about Prince, that he's a real asshole to his fans and such. I for one, have never seen Prince in a public situation, surrounded by fans (I'm new to this whole Prince thing....) Is that true? Is he kind to his fans?Or rude? I've seen some artists be very rude to their fans, even curse at them. Prince seems guarded to me, so I was wondering how he felt about them. He looks like he'd kick you if you so much as touched him.

My only "up close and personal" moments with him was at one of the afterparties when he passed us in the bar and I complimented him on the show. He just kinda looked up and did that guarded smile of his and said "thank you" and rushed past.

Then of course, at the next night's concert, he came over to us and fed us pizza.

He flashed me quite a big smile when I thanked him at the afterparty on Tuesday. Then he walked on. He made a comment to me later on about how I looked like I was having fun, but I'm a little embarrassed about that whole thing. I totally froze. The bartenders said he was a little strange, but really nice.

At one point in the evening, he came and hung out next to one of my friends. She was too nervous to say anything to him, so she just kinda observed him out of the corner of her eye. She said his bodyguard got in anyone's way who tried to come up to him, but he seemed more than happy to talk to people who didn't directly approach him.

I've heard a number of things. Although Ive never met him directly, we've shared flirtatious glances and he stood right back of me at an afterparty, when I turned and saw him, I froze with my mouth slightly ajar as my friends pushed me to shake his hand or talk or do something and he smiled like "I know, I know."...I do know someone who bumped into him and didnt realize it was him until he walked past them, he was cool with it and didnt say anything...I do know someone who he hit on, relentlessly...I do know someone who sat down and conducted business with him, said he was great and very, very sweet and shy... and I do know someone who sat and chilled with him a few times they said he could run from hot to cold in a minute.

All of those folk were fans...I'd say he pretty much treats them however he feels depending on the situation and his mood, possibly like any other normal person, no?
