Other than Purple Rain and Sign of the Times, is there anyone--ANYONE at All- who feels that Prince's pinacle of artistic achievement is represented in another album?

oh definately Lovesexy and 1999 and Parade

Gold Experience and The Rainbow Children come to mind. Just because they didn't have the commercial success of the former examples doesn't mean they aren't as artistic. Come to think of it, I think Parade is just as imaginative as well.

dirty mind,1999,trc,parade,lovesexy,gold,the family,the time cd's,madhouse 8 and 16,times squared,black,camille...that's a good start.

I know I'm in the minority on this but I love the Soundtrack to Girl 6. It has Nasty Girls, Count the Days, the full version of Adore, Girls & Boys and Hot Thing.
Since I never bought the original albums these songs appeared on, I was elated to find this CD.

Alot of people might disagree, but this is a great piece of work. For me, it's definitely up there with SOTT & PR.

I'd say that the only other Prince album that can truly sit shoulder to shoulder with
Purple Rain and Sign O' The Times is The Gold Experience.

i'd also like 2 say that i think Sign O The Times is highly overrated and imo it aint the shit..there r far better albums..wayy better if u ask me...lovesexy, controversy, musicology, the gold experiance.....

I've always considred Parade the artistic pinacle.

From the earlier period ATWIAD and Parade, TGE the later.

The best prince album that really got me 4 a few years..n it grew n grew n grew n its his most artistically,commercially,versatile,funkiest,smoothest jam packed opus ever.....is the LOVE SYMBOL ALBUM...definitley...a creation of history..that album is so fuckin off the hook!!
