Just heard this song for the first time today after picking up patti labelle's greatest hits collection...man how great is this song. I think it's awesome and i thank god patti decided to keep prince's backvox on the track, that really adds to the song. So How y'all like this one?

and btw anyone come across the original prince recording of the song, bootleggers 2 the rescue please?

I've always liked this song, but I do know that some people do not appreciate Patti's singing. I happen to love her. I'm not always feeing her choice of song, but I love her just the same. She knocked me off my feet one night when I saw her sing - without microphone for two minutes - and you could hear her just the same. That's some serious singing fo' yo' ass!

I started a thread about this song awhile back...I absolutely think it's one of his best
collaborations, along with Erotic City and A Love Bizarre.

This is one of Prince's best and funkiest songs, including his own.

I wonder if Prince regretted giving so many funky joints to other artists like The Time, Sheila and Vanity Six?

Both songs Yo Mister and Love 89 are wonderfully done. She can 'bring' Prince songs.

I Love This song..When she did it as a Tribute to Prince for his Award well it was Great..I saw her at Westbury and she kicks off her shoes and get's Down when singing... Love her.. Where she Hiding?
