Prince came down this staircase right in front of me and held out his hand and my husband pushed me from the back making it look like I was throwing myself at him. I wasn't planning to even to try and touch him but had to grab his hand to keep myself on my feet. Not really my best moment actually. I think the whole damn 7 hours I saw/heard him perform that week was my life's Prince moment.
was that during BeautifulOnes? on the right of stage? if so,u were RIGHT NEXT 2 ME!!! that was the closest i got 2 P that week. my best moment was actually when he took my request of JoyInRep' at soundcheck in Melboing Oct 22nd. & then the solo on Shhh in sydney. un-fucking-beleevabull!! www.riotcitywrestling.com

When my daughter got onstage, danced with Prince and Candy, and sang the chorus to "Life O' the Party".

Okay, my twin and I were on the floor and only the 2nd row back and a little off to the side. We were on the edge, too, so we could see Prince really really well! Oh! Well my other two sisters who were seated in a higher section than me and my twin swore up and down that Prince said "we got some twins in the house." BUT we didn't hear it, all we saw him do was point to us and smile. AND later that night he did do a ditty about twins, so who knows maybe he saw us. BUT he did do this same song in Vegas. AH WELL, i can dream can't I. "The poets are demanding their pay..."

Yes it was, though my husband (tall bald guy) was standing between us. I loved when Prince said "thank you man" to you in that funny voice copying you! My husband was also the the one Prince called a "journalist" because he shouted out that question to Maceo about whether he liked to play with Prince or James Brown better.

1985. The Brit Awards. I was Backstage, as my Dad was a guest. I was 14 at the time, and standing waiting to get my one and only prince record signed. Chick came bounding down the corridor almost pushing people out the way as he went.
I got a "out of the way kid" and a strong arm forcing me to almost tumble over as he went past. I was held up by Prince, who was right behind Chick. He had his big round glasses on and stupid big pink ostrich feathers on the flower suit. Prince, peered over the top of the glasses, smiled and gave me one rose drom a small bunch he was holding. He was gone before I could say anything. I never got that damn record autographed either! .

The house lights had gone up at the end of the show and there was only a few hundred left in the building when Prince and the NPG came back out and started up Call The Law. There was pandemonium as a few hundred people rushed the front of the stage. Security were freaking out!
I was there! Freaked the hell out of those remaining! Earls Court Too! And the security blocked the main doors. Makes a good video! Yep what was funnier though was Diamond and Pearl reappearing on stage in their towelling track suits!!!!! But yeah the crowd went wild, I was almost out the doors at the back when he started playing again and was one who managed to get down to the front for the 20 minute jam. I always remember thinking that has just cost him £20k. There are bye laws in London which say you can't play past 11pm, if you do there was a £1k fine per minute back then (or so the papers said) playing till 11.20 in a residential area would have cost him £20k

October 2002, Saturday night at Hammersmith, Prince comes on stage for 'soundcheck' looking casual wearing a big cream jumper/sweater.
He says that when he is a country he likes to pick up a little of the local language, so pointing at his jumper/sweater he asks what people in the UK call it. Some guy in the crowd calls out "ugly" and everyone just falls around laughing even P. Or Wembley August (?) 98 when he came onto play with Chaka Khan when she was supporting him and then during his show when he played Darling Nikki he got to the point of saying "I met her in a hotel lobby" then he stopped as the crowd sang out the next line!. He then looked at the crowd and went "oooh, I'm gonna tell your mama about you" he was in a playful mood that night, probably best I have seen him in a concert outside of Celly 2002. Next night at Cafe De Paris when he stage dived - man that was cool. Too many to choose from sorry guys
