You don't like Rnb music. Just admit it!!!!. The foundation of Prince's music is RnB and he started using horns 1986. You have had a lot of time to get use to this.

I like SOME R&B music, like the shit he used to do. But this thread has nothing to do with R&B music. It's about him doing an all rock show. And you may wanna do your homework, cuz he started using horns in '85.

That's an awesome list. I'd get rid of 'loose' and 'what's my name'. They shit me.

I'm currently listening to 'Just my Imagination' and 'DMSR' live from the small club show years back. These tracks sound amazing live full of great guitar work.
I'd sneak these in ! cool
I just can't believe all the things people say !

Actually,I think you are looking for a version of Prince that does not exsist anymore. You want him to be some sort of edgy alt rock thing,Prince is
a 46 year old married man who's way more into musicianship than being
edgy, shit he hasn't been that way since 87' I guess he is just not that guy
anymore for better of worse, whatever your taste,I'm just glad he is still here
doing it,he doesn't have anything left to prove to me,fuck he can come out
and do a kazoo version of "Pass The Peas" and I'd check it out

That's probably why he keeps making crap.

from a guy who digs Slipknnot that's an interesting point

There is a horn on Temptation. I don't consider one sax on one track the start of horns. To me the start of horns was Parade. This thread has a lot to do with RnB because you are suggesting that Prince adbandone what he is doing to do a Rock show when his roots are RnB music.

A rock show would never sell out or go over with the vast majority of Prince 's fans. I know a few people who went to the Essence festival and the rock portion of the show hah a lot of people sitting.

It would not bother me because I listen to some rock but he could never get away with doing a whole rock show on a large tour like this.

Sure he could. You may not be into it, but a lot of others would be. He's not dancing anymore and people are bored of his jazz/funk crap. He'd definitely sell out shows with a rock tour.

I most definitely agree! The horns were kinda cool for a while, but now it's just boring. Most of the additions I could handle, but adding horns to Let's Go Crazy was just not cool.

An all-rock or more rock-heavy show would be incredible!

You encouraged it. I think it's common sense that I'm into Prince's older material. I didn't think I had to be a fan of his current crap to be here.

it´s a great idea. Horns are kinda boring in Aladdin he uses them too much. He let the sax players solos more than him. :/

He's feeling the old school groove these days, so why not throw in some Isley Bros. like "That Lady."

when did jazz/funk/horns = crap?

There's nothing wrong with saying you love the rock stuff but that doesn't make the jazz/funk/horns stuff crappy music.

I would love to see the "rock" prince as well but I do appreciate Prince's musical range.....

its all good music....geezzz

Yeah, but the problem is he saves a lot of his best guitar stuff for aftershows, which most people don't get to see.

Well he hasn't been doing anything good in the past 6 years or so, in my opinion. Seems he hasn't made any cool changes in his style or music.
