You know you've gone too damn far when...

I'll start off by saying, I have planned my vacation from work around the Prince Atlanta concert tour (live near Orlando, went to Tampa concert), made an outfit, sent my friend in North Carolina money for tix, and opted to spend my vacation at the concert rather than with my husband. How shameful!

Oh yeah, I'm also on the org reading threads about Prince at 1:45 in the morning when I have my own "Prince" here! Will this marriage survive the Musicology tour? I need detox now!

What extreme measures have you taken for this man?

Hmm...by the time the North American tour is over, I'll have seen him at least 5 times (including the first nite, in Reno, and three times in a little over a week in September). And I did buy some clothes just to wear to the concerts. And I tend to stay up too late, often surfing Prince-related web sites...hmm... lol

It's 2:30 in the AM here in D-town and I'm still lurkin on the org and housequake! Someone save me from my prince-obsessed self, PLEASE! And I, too, scoured the malls to find a purple dress to wear to the Prince concert (freaking HARD to find in the summer, but I pulled it off!) along with a button (circa 1982, pic from inside cover of "1999" - TOO DAMN SEXY!) my lovely track coach gave to me. But yeah, this tour (since it's my 1st) has basically ran my whole summer...ESPECIALLY when I found out he was adding more dates here in Mich.! Okay, maybe I should go to bed now..... zzz
Run fast, jam to Prince, but stay in your lane. Peace.

I had the hardest time finding purple denim jeans because it was summertime. And a purple prince t-shit, I had to make my own. NPG club need to get on the ball. I had several people ask me to make a shirt just like mine for them.

My husband is actually jealous. He won't admit it of course but I have been in purple overdrive since April when I bought these tickets. I better cool it also. neutral

Well my husband likes, more like tolerates Prince, he had a couple of CD's when we met, but I'm like really over the top, I think.

I been trippin since I bought the tickets 2 months ago, & had to take my hubby ( who tolerates him, but says " I wish u'd stop choking him down my throat") just went 2 the concert last night in Detroit, & I'm still on an invigorating Prince high. although ready to take a nap, from beein up so late, & up so early, so Yea, I guess great measures here, depriving me of sleep, beeing online reading up & postin', & listenin 2 my hubby complain 4 2 months

P.S. My hubby said " don't let ur head swell or anything, but that was probably the best dang concert I've ever seen, he did really good, he's quite active for a little guy"

& I thought " LIKE DUH!!!!"

I do agree tho, Musicology tour was much better then Emancipation tour & Rainbow Children tour put together.

Last night I had a dream about Prince that I was at his concert and he called us up on stage to dance with him. He kept coming by me and talking to me like we were cool. I remember I was crying during his concert (I always do) but he was trying to make me brighten up. I asked him if he was taking a break he said yeah.then he started playing again. I woke up my girlfriend called me at home asked me what I dreamed of. I said I dreamed I was hanging out with Prince. she said U always dream that U think about him more than me (not true).maybe I should keep it more to myself like I used to. Prince is a touchy subject with me I take it personal if someone says something about him.this is like the 5th dream ive ever had me and him hanging out. makes me think if it ever happened he would be cool to me(I dont thinks hes probably that cool to many people, although that might have changed a bit recently) so yeah, I love my girlfriend. Im into Prince alot more than anyone I know.

hahahahaha! You're just a tad obsessed. But I think that if your husband married you knowing what type of fam you are then he is willing to accept that. Although I don't really know you or your husband but all well said and done.

I paid $90.00 for a ticket, $50.00 for an aftershow, $20.00 for a tour book, $30.00 for a shirt and, the nuttiest thing? $5.00 dollars for about 10 ounces of watered-down beer (but that went to Xcel).

Oh, and xtreme of all xtreme, I actually paid to download Xpectation and listened to it all the way through... twice! wink

Luv & Peace,
