Today... August 3, 2004 after 16 years, it took this image to finally point out where "Don't Buy the Black Album, I'm Sorry" is in this video.



I just want you all to know that I was looking in all of those letters in the background hoping that that "T" that moving back and forth was the letter that was going to bring it all together for me. I'm suprised I don't have tourettes or twitch in my sleep behind it.

16 years of lying to others about where to find the message ... pretending I had special Prince vision because I could see it plain as day and nobody else I told could.

That's funny, MTV pointed this out in 1988. So, I've known where it was since then. After finding this out, I watched the entire video frame by frame to view all the different messages:

Heaven is Beautiful
God I Love U
Dance 4 The Light

There are alot more, but you'll have to watch the video for yourself to find them all... I can't do screen caps. Unless someone wants to post the vidcaps of all the messages, that would be cool.

"God I Love U" flashes real quick as he's playing the guitar on top of the Thunderbird. If I remember right, "Dance 4 The Light" flashes around the time he's sitting in the car driving her to Tennessee, but it's been awhile since I looked for that one.

It's wierd, I've seen them all before, but I've never paused the video to actually read what they say other than the Black album one.

They're not that hidden, it's just the whole thing is quite fast.

I guess in 1988, it would have been even more elusive. Awww, I miss elusive, everything in pop music is so up-front these days

I'll never forget "doing the excersize" late one night with some friends...We watched Suburbia, the A-Street video..and if case Mom came down to see what was going on the code word was Morrissey. WOW that was in '89 but I remember it semi-clrearly. I am not sure if we found it or not. I have found it since.

It's one of my favorite videos...probably the hidden messages are the reason. Has anyone looked to see if any of the flashing letters spell out anything?
