Yeah, I remember enjoying the video most when I was vacationing in Florida in the summer of 1990. I was up watching Friday Night Videos (remember that program on NBC?) when that video came on. Of course I danced to it, I mean, how could you not?

And yeah ya Know what also? TBS had NIGHt Flight and They would Show Videos Too. Friday Night Videos and Hot Tracks in the Beginning showed Prince SOOO Much..It was Like WOW!! and I remember Donnie Simpson's Video soul and Vibrations showed it alot too. I like the like Extended version....And Yes..Prince's Screaming and That like Elbow kinda Wingy thingy.. I liked how Prince had that Beard ya know like that Shadow and he wore the Gold Belly Chain Back then . I Just get all Excited REMEMBERING all This as it's in My Brain since I don't Write things down. Ya Know that Joke about The Cathedral? well, a friend and myself stayed at a Motel 6 in Minneapolis and ya Know what there was this Trucker Store and they had some weird Tapes and That joke was on it and we Died Laughing.. So we were Wondering did Prince buy those Crazy Trucker Kind of tapes? I Laughed at how Prince later on Exodus used those Segues on Mashed Potato Girl and the Whole Album..It's Kinda Weird I Know that I Can't Talk To My Idol but can Type my Thoughts ... I Wish Years Ago I Could Have been so Open and well Expressed my Thoughts to Him as one Human Being to another without Being Star-Struck and Crazy...I Just well.... I Dig Him So Much! | |

Vid gets very weird.....yeah the backstreet dancing saw Prince (then) being at his hipest.....love that glide move him and the gameboy dancers do.....u know when later on in the vid he slides from the right of the screen to the left.....his head still looking right with both arms just above his head.....know what i'm talking about?

I didn't care for it too much when it was first released. That's becuase GB was being rumored as the sequal to Purple Rain, so I was expecting mind-blowing music.
Theives isn't a bad song--it just wasn't an awesome song. I later changed my mind when I heard the extended version--that was really HOT. I then changed my mind again when I saw the extended version video -- lame lame lame. | |
