New Prince tribute album, Symphonic Tribute 2 Prince's Purple Rain

oh lawd. This is so bad, it's good!

It is a symphonic tribute to Prince's Purple Rain.

Features the entire cd along with bonus b-sides 17 days, Erotic City, and Another Lonly Christmas.

This is kind of a lounge tribute album with an orchastral feel to it. Think Austin Powers theme and the cheesy Batman Tv Series club theme music.


If you can get through Let's Go Crazy, Take me with u is not that bad, but I actually found myself grooving 2 the Beautiful Ones. It is very different and really not for every fan but if u can admire and laugh at a few things, you might really enjoy this set. i have only played the tracks up to Darling Nikki and even that is pretty decent.

The cd is described as:
Imagine a big city orchastra treating Prince with the same pomp and circumstance as Mozart or Beethoven and you got a good idea what is in store on this all new tribute album.

Again, my opinion, think Austin Powers and the lounge music that made a small comeback in 95-96.

Unfortunatly, no cover artwork can be found on it's home site nor towerrecords.com but it is basicaly the back album artowork of the Purple Rain album and the When Doves cry 12 inch.
