Going through my basement over the weekend I ran across my old VHS copy of The Beautiful Experience video. I always loved this thing and rediscoved it over the weekend. Looking past the lame Nona Gaye freaking out at her computer part , this is classic in my book . Videos and live performances from the Come / Gold Experience era, which I feel is his most underappreicated period.

For some of you newer fans , it contains "videos" and live performance for Interactive, Days of Wild (live), Come (original version), Acknowledge Me, Race, Pheromone, Shhh (live) The Jam (live) , Loose, Papa , The Most Beautiful Girl in The World , Now (live).

I love this thing but it always leaves me with these questions:

-Will the studio version of Days of Wild ever be released? (live version is on Crystal Ball)
-Why in hell did he replace the orignal "Come" with an 11 minute drawn out yawner on the Come album?
-Why weren't some of these songs (besides TMBGITW) released as singles since they had ready-to-go videos for them . (Letitgo and Space were released from Come without videos and did very little on radio)

I love this video as well. Ah, the days when you could walk into your favorite bootleg shop, and discover something so cool and "underground".

I like both versions of 'Come', but think that the one on the album he released on the album is superior. More seductive and atmospheric by a mile.
