Under the Cherry Moon NOW Ok, I'm gonna start watching the movie Under the Cherry Moon in about 4 minutes. So that's 7h30 pm local time, so I'll be back in about an hour and a half! Wish me luck! Hey who knows, I might like it?  | |

not me...i always crack up laughin when christopher gets shot...that's gotta be like the worst death-by-gunshot scene in a film ever. it was like, "did he just get shot or get a cramp in his leg?" | |

Ok, I watched the Cherry Moon and it was sweet .. it was kinda funny and i have to say that Prince is THE WORST ON-SCREEN KISSER!! He was a bad kisser in Purple Rain, but you'd expect that someone would have told him that so that by the next movie he'd be a better kisser, but no! It's sad that Christopher Tracy dies though, why did he have to die? Why can't he just get shot and be hurt and then Mary Sharon's dad comes to his senses and lets his daughter be with Christopher?? | |

I enjoyed the movie alot!
I watched it with my brother and he hated it (probably because he's not a prince fan) "Under the cherry moon" is strictly for Fans! I laughed alot when the "wreck a stow" scene took place not because it was funny, but because prince laughed alot. Watching him laugh cracks me up anyways the movie is great .. (I have it on VHS) 
does anybody know if it's gonna be realeased on Dvd? Official member of the Paw Power Posse

[/color][/b] This is the reason why I believe Christopher had to die at the end of UTCM. It would make for one heck of a prequel and fill in quite a lot of holes in what is a pretty slim script. Christopher's family was poor and had fallen on hard times. As luck would have it, the malevolent local priestess (the cackling witch that materialises without explanation during the drinking myself stupid scene) had harboured an unhealthy crush on Christopher since his childhood days and now saw this turn of events as the perfect opportunity to lay claim to Christopher, body and soul. She therefore proposes Christopher with an offer he can't possibly refuse: an arranged marriage to her as the only solution to his family's predicament. The fate of his family hanging perilously in the balance, Christopher is left with no choice but to reluctantly agree to the dastardly request and follow his fate like a lamb to the slaughter. In a bid to free Christopher from a fate worse than Hell, Tricky, a neighbourhood friend, manages to breach the priestess' swampy retreat in a daring rescue attempt, during which the witch is momentarily knocked out in the resulting fracas. In the ensuing pursuit through the swampy everglades, both Tricky and Christopher escape to freedom from the witch, who is last seen sinking into quicksand. Before disappearing from view and sinking to her death, the malevolent priestess is heard uttering the curse that seals Christopher's fate: "One day you will find the path to true love, but DEATH will be at the end of it!" (RIP, The Priestess) Of course, what the witch ultimately failed to realise is: with LOVE there is no death
