Allways take a book with you then u never have to worry about having to interract at all.. with anyone... unless of course U feel the vibe is right to interract.... SingMia I wouldn't care if the pope came on board ... "I'm finishing this paragraph of my book".[/color] Myself, when I see somebody famous or not so famous, I usually speak and say hey or hi and that's it. I don't go all crazy and make a fool of myself and have the person look at me thinking that I am not wrapped tight. Now if the person wants to continue on speaking then I would naturally respond and hold a conversion. I spoke to him before and he looked up and said hi and I kept on moving and he did too.

what?? you trying to tell me u wouldnt say anything?!! I don't know if i would. what would you say? "Love your work!"? as if he hasn't heard that a kazillion times. I think when you're put on the spot like that, some people freak and just lose the ability to speak. I hope your friend at least thanked him for holding the door. Mind you 21st Century, some women will kick you in the balls and spit at you for doing that.

When I was eating in Bridgman’s restaurant (it's an ice-cream joint, mostly) in Golden Valley Minnesota, Prince came in and ordered a Peppermint Bon-Bon ice-cream cone. Being that I was the only person under 20 at the time, I could have easily walked up 2 him and started up a chat. But why bug him? Anything any of us say, he's most likely heard be4. Luv & Peace, Alex Clubbin' in Mpls/A Night w. Prince [This message was edited Sun Jul 25 1:27:10 2004 by sloopydrew4u] You know I guess I can't really be sure of what I would do in that situation unless I was in it. But I do hope I would have been friendly, had a warm smile and said "hello" at least. I never find that to be bugging someone. And I really can't imagine it would bug Prince. There is a fine line of going "over the edge" and bugging someone and their privacy but in an elevator ..come on..its not like you are intruding on the person!!! He was kind enough to hold the door open for her to get on,so if he really dint want some one in his "space" he wouldn't have done that. He was showing the "human" side of himself there,so I would hope I would show that same side and just be warm and friendly...not necessarily talk his ear off!! But then again I might just froze up too! I truly feel u on that one. Knowing how shy I am, I probably would just smile. I would only speak if spoken to, and would be very modest.
