Can you believe this ??Gotta slap her silly!!!! A friend of mine who is a makeup artist for bridal parties just called me hysterical as she was leaving a hotel in Chicago after doing a makeup session there.
As she is heading for the elevator, loaded down with bags, who should hold the elevator door open for her????? The man himself...Prince! So she gets in the elevator and rides down ..just her ,Prince and his body guard or whoever he was and DOESNT say a WORD to him. I yelled her "WHAT??? NOTHING???" Now mind you this friend like myself is a JW and anytime a JW meets another JW...you just start talking!! And I said why didnt you just say "Hi Brother Nelson?" to which she says "I didn't know his last name" (the s not a fan, just one reason to slap her silly) She said she was just to much in shock! I am going to have to double slap this silly when I see her tommorrow! Can you believe it?????

I'm not one for approaching people, no matter how much I like them. I'm as fussy about others' privacy as much as I am mine.

When I was eating in Bridgman’s restaurant (it's an ice-cream joint, mostly) in Golden Valley Minnesota, Prince came in and ordered a Peppermint Bon-Bon ice-cream cone. Being that I was the only person under 20 at the time, I could have easily walked up 2 him and started up a chat. But why bug him? Anything any of us say, he's most likely heard be4. But I do hope I would have been friendly, had a warm smile and said "hello" at least. I never find that to be bugging someone. And I really can't imagine it would bug Prince. There is a fine line of going "over the edge" and bugging someone and their privacy but in an elevator ..come on..its not like you are intruding on the person!!! He was kind enough to hold the door open for her to get on,so if he really dint want some one in his "space" he wouldn't have done that. He was showing the "human" side of himself there,so I would hope I would show that same side and just be warm and friendly...not necessarily talk his ear off!! But then again I might just froze up too!

When I had a chance to say hello to Prince, I didn't speak. I felt that out of respect, unless he spoke to me first, I should say nothing. Even though I wanted to talk to him for years, it only mattered to me if he also wanted to hold a conversation.

well i certainly if they were in an elevator,, maybe they were both listening to N.E.W.S. and dozed off you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

That would have been amazing to have met him but what in the world do you say? I would have been scared out of my mind from excitment and then nothing would have come out. Like your standing there is shock and by the time you recover he would have gone. Your friend is so lucky, that would have been cool.

Its the absolute truth!!! Have no reason to doubt this person at all. And not only did he get in the elevator with her he held the door open for her as it was closing and she had her hands full of bags...real gentlemanly like I did find out later after her hysterai that she did utter one thing! It was more to the body guard she said "boy these elevators sure take a long time dont they?"

Out of respect for the man and his band,I decline answering that one! But I will say it was the same one that 2 of his band members jammed with the piano player in the lounge when he was in town in June.

It's hard to say what you would've done having not been there; but i reckon he would've appreciated a "hello".He probably get's fed up with being a superstar, and would maybe liked to have been treated as a regular person.Dunno.....s'pose if he looked like he was distracted in thought i would leave him be, but if he seemed loose and relaxed i would've put out my hand and said;"Howdy Prince!" ~PClinuxOS~ I've been here longer than I care to remember, ... I drop in from time to time, ...
